I am so sorry to hear about Ron's passing. We had so many great times in the years he owned The Retreat. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Life takes everyone in different paths and I am glad that our paths crossed for part of his life and my memories of Ron will always be something that I look back on and smile about. May he rest in peace.

My condolences to all the family and friends of Ron, I am so sorry for this loss.
He worked with me in the produce department at Wegmans, even though it was occasional and rarely speaking about anything other than work.
I knew the type of man he was when he came to me to ask about a special collection we had taken up for a young coworkers sick child and without hesitation handed me a generous donation when I asked if he knew who this person was he said “I think so”
How impressive I thought.
Ron liked to pick my brain and lately we had several discussions on garlic, he wanted to plant some this year. So I told him what my Italian mother told me, it was planted on Columbus Day, he said he was going to try it,(my guess she meant 2nd wk in October).
He was a good man, hard working and kind, just wanted you to know that.
And this year I will plant garlic and think of Ron.
May his memories fill your days with smiles.
Sincerely,
Jeannie Lupi

I will always cherish the times that Ron helped me when I had no one else. Cathy and Ron were the reason that I felt at home in a new place and they always welcomed me with open arms. I remember the times after finals when Ron would pick me up and push me to have a beer at the VFW to celebrate the end of a semester. He always made it possible for me to feel less anxious and stressed about the future and to have fun in the moment. I truly will miss him and feel that there must be a reason that I was able to spend five great years in upstate New York getting to know one of the best guys I've ever met.

Words cannot express what Ron means to our family. We have so many memories. Ron and Cathy took care of my son Mark while he attended Colgate and Cornell. They were his guardian angels on earth and now Ron will be Mark's guardian angel in heaven. Ron was a mentor to both my son's Mark and Mathew. He was a role model for them on how to be a loving father and husband and for that I am ever grateful. I am so happy that Ron was able to attend at least one of Mark's graduation because he was instrumental in making that happen. We also spent Mark's birthday last year with Ron and Cathy. Mark said it was his best birthday ever!
We will miss you Ron! https://hollisfuneralhome.com/temporary-files/75344e3e-f6b7-48ba-870e-ef15966cc447.jpg
We know that you are in heaven and I'm sure you will be sharing stories with my Dad. Had to throw in a picture from our house and so glad you were able to visit. We had such a great time!
We love you!
