Obituary of Naomi Young

December 2, 2013 Naomi Young, 84 of Thomasville Georgia and resident of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2013. Her life was dedicated to being a loving housewife, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an avid reader, loved classic westerns and faithfully served as the mother of the church. Naomi was predeceased by her husband, Rufus “Popeye” Young and two sons; Willie J. Young and Herman Young. Naomi is survived by her daughters; Carolyn J. Murray, Mae D. Kirkland; sons, Ralph L. Young, Robert L. Young, Wayne B. Young and Jimmie E. Young. She was blessed with 20 Grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren. Calling Hours will be held Friday 11 AM to 12 Noon with funeral services following at The Apostolic Church 347 Cortland Avenue Syracuse NY. Burial: White Chapel Memory Garden, DeWitt.
