Obituary of Margaret "Marty" Egan

Margaret (Marty) Egan Passed away Monday, March 25^th,, born in Montrose, PA, January 28^th, 1955. She was one of four children of Robert and Josephine Dean. A long- time resident of Syracuse, she spent 20 years as a teacher’s assistant for the city school district, affecting the lives of countless students, their families, and her colleagues. Marty was an avid golfer; a love of which she shared with her husband of twenty five years, Richard (Dicky). She loved boating, reading,( particularly Stephen King) , elephants, and cats. Marty is survived by Dicky; her mother, Josephine; her sisters, Roxanne and Donna; her brother, Calvin; her daughter, Lisa;  3 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and Willy the only “ guard cat” in New York.  Marty loved flowers, but loved animals much more. Memorial Visitation: Saturday 12 to 2pm with services following at Hollis Funeral Home 1105 West Genesee St. Syracuse.
