Obituary of Norma J. Smith

Norma Jean Smith passed away peacefully on August 15, 2019 after a brief illness. She was born May 31, 1938 in Phoenix, NY, daughter of Donald and Charlotte Money. Norma attended the New York State School for the Blind in Batavia and worked for many years at Consolidated Industries of Syracuse and Van Duyn Home and Hospital. She was an active member of Fay Road Baptist Church (previously Delaware St. Baptist Church) in Syracuse for over 50 years, and enjoyed bowling for more than 40 years with the Salt City Blind Bowling League. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. She is survived by her daughter, Lesa (Jeff) Clukey; granddaughter, Lauren Clukey; brothers Dale (Anetta) Money and Duane (Paula) Money; and several nieces and nephews. Norma was predeceased by her husband, Leland, in 1987. Memorial service to be held Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 1pm at Fay Road Baptist Church, 750 Fay Rd. Syracuse, NY 13219.
