When I was a student at LeMoyne, John was always at the basketball games. My husband and his friends started "The Marching Monks", a pep band that would play at the games. John always enjoyed clapping along and cheering. RIP John. You will also be missed at the other Syracuse college.

My condolences to John’s family. I loved seeing him every game for over 40 years at old MacArthur Stadium and then the new stadium. John was a great fan and a great guy who always had something good to say. I will remember his favorite daily greeting to me “I have to talk to you”. Which was my cue to have a seat next to him. You will be missed John but never forgotten.

I remember John was an avid sports fan. When i came to visit and stayed in Syracuse I think it was John had a long snake around his neck. I was so afraid of it. He would tell me it's a pet you will be ok. He will be missed. R.I.P. John.
