Obituary of JoAnne Wojcik

Joanne Wojcik, 65 of Cicero NY, passed away Thursday, May 28th after a short illness. Born in Syracuse NY, she was the daughter of Bruno and Geraldine Kania. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1972. Joanne was employed at Upstate University Hospital in Radiology retiring after many years. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Church Cicero, NY. She enjoyed traveling, volunteering and spending time with family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 38 years Peter J. Wojcik. Surviving to cherish her memory are brothers David (Gail) Kania of Syracuse and Michael (Colleen) Kania of Tully, and sister Geraldine (John) Dwyer of Marcellus,NY, as well as many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Joanne's life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Anna's Pantry, Sacred Heart Church 8229 Brewerton Road Cicero NY 13039 where Joanne volunteered. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the nurses at Upstate University Hospital and Bishop Rehabilitation & Nursing for their comfort and loving care.
