Obituary of Robert Barclay Jr
Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.”
Robert “Bo” Barclay Jr. of Naples, Florida, is now shining down on us having passed from this earth after a battle with lung cancer on December 10, 2020. Bo was born in Syracuse on 10/9/1948. He worked for several years in the nightclub industry in Syracuse and Alexandria Bay before relocating to Naples, Florida to work at Randy’s Fish Market Restaurant as Bo, The Key Lime pie guy, until retirement. Bo was a prolific storyteller. He loved to regale family and friends, both new or old, tales about his travels to Key West, the original Woodstock concert, the latest concert he attended or about the latest SU game. He was a lover of music, mainly blues, classic rock and country, and was a member of The Southwest Blues Society. He is pre-deceased by his parents Robert James Barclay, Sr. and Ruth Barclay and his sister, Cheryl Barclay. He is survived by his partner, Valerie Boyko, sisters Terry Barclay and Mary Donnelly (Hudson, Fl.), step daughters Kim Fenton and Summer Costello, granddaughters Shiann, Madison and Jenna; several nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces. To celebrate Bo, listen to your favorite music, take a walk on a beach or spend time with your family, all things he loved.
