Kathy and Family,
I was so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. Joe was a very nice man and I know he will be truly missed by so many. I hope it gives some comfort in knowing that you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

What do you say about the man who hired you for your first job? Who saw potential in you and moved you from dishwasher to Shift Manager? My late Mom, Pat Tighe McGettigan was Joe's babysitter when the Fays lived in Lyndeborough. He was a good boss, and a good father and a friend. Time and distance seperated us but I would think of Joe and those days often. I'd like to thank him for guiding me in those early years of work and giving me direction and encouragement to eventually move on in life. I remember the stories he'd tell of the days on the USS Grant. Stories of his parents of whom he always missed. The pride in his children was never hidden. Many early days we would be there early to make pizzas for the Milford School Lunch program and on occasion Joe would bring breakfast sandwiches to start our day. His smile and laugh and jokes will not be forgotten. And I will always remember his Carsonesqe saying when he would go home on a Friday night to be with his family "Folks! It's Miller time!". Enjoy one for me Joe and say hello to my parents. God speed and rest easy old friend. To his family you have my deepest condolences.

We will always remember Joe and Pop laughing together at their jokes.
Today and always, may loving memories bring you peace, comfort and strength.
