I don't know where to send a card, but want to convey my deepest condolences to the family of this wonderful lady, Bert. I married Steve White, and his father was Clete White, who was a good friend of Bert's Dad. Believe they fished together. My husband said Bert used to cook up all the fish for Bert's Dad and my father-in-law. The White's lived on Hayden Ave, behind Smoral's Restaurant. Shirley might have remembered the name. My mother, May Stevens, also knew Bert but I can't remember how.....we belonged to ST. Mark's Episcopal Church, and it may have been through the church for some reason. Everyone who knew Bert, loved her. I actually, have been looking for two or three years or more for her. I always sent her Christmas cards, and one year, none came back. I just couldn't locate her. Then, this obituary appeared. So sad to learn of the passing of such a beautiful human being. Many prayers and thoughts to you as a family. May Bert Rest in Peace. Barbara White

Oh Aunt Bert--I will forever remember the summers spent in Syracuse...you playing cards with Oma and Opa, my parents, Aunt Linda and Uncle John. Aunt Bert, I will miss you so much. There are so many memories. My favorite ones are all the holidays we spent together. And your special desert you brought to all dinners that we all talk about to this day! Those precious family memories and all the laughs we had will always be close to my heart. I remember all the times you slipped food to Cappy under the table!! He always knew were to sit. You are at peace now. Give mom and dad a hug and kiss for me. Until we see each other again...
