Obituary of Myrna DeSantis

Myrna Ann DeSantis (Peyatt), 59, of Solvay passed away on Saturday, March 6, with her loving husband of 40 years by her side. Myrna worked at St. Camillus for nearly 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Myrna loved spending time with her family, including hosting delicious weekly Sunday dinners. She always made sure her home was a comfortable and loving place for not only her children, but so many in the neighborhood, including endless snacks. Her kind, selfless nature will always be remembered. She will be dearly missed. Myrna was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Ruth Peyatt, and sister Patty Gibbons. She is survived by her husband Mike DeSantis; daughter Rachael; sons Mike (Emily), Jim (Sara), and Richard (Shannon); grandchildren Brandon, Bella, Emma, Madison, Gavin, and Micheal III (on the way); brothers Jim Junior, Michael, Bruce, and Brian; and many nieces, nephews, a huge extended family, and friends. Calling hours will be 4:00pm to 5:30pm on Friday, March 12th at Hollis Funeral Home, 1105 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY 13204. Current NYS COVID guidelines requiring masks, social distancing and occupancy limits will be observed. In addition to flowers, donations can be made to the family to help with medical expenses.
