Obituary of Iris James

Iris Alce (Follett) James, born July 17, 1930, passed away in Syracuse, NY on July 11, 2021, .She was predeceased in death by her husband, Merton Carlton James, who she married in 1950, and shared 32 years of life together before his passing.

Iris was born in Fulton, NY, grew up on the George and Una Follett family farm in Victory, NY. She was predeceased by her brothers Dayton, George (Joy) and John and her only living sister Gail Kallfelz. She attended school in Cato, NY. 

Iris was loved and will be missed by her four children, George (Connie), Roger (Sandy), Terry (Judy) and Aimee Hanson (Brian), along with her 12 grandchildren and their spouses and 19 great grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be Aug 21, 2021 at 1 till 2:30 PM in Denti Hall at St. Cecilia Church 1001 Woods Rd. Solvay, NY 13209. Handicap accessible on Second St. entrance.
