To Mary Anne, Bill and Bob...so sorry to hear of Bill's passing -it took a very jagged path to get to Buffalo. I have many memories of playing bridge at the Studio, of Bill's wonderful cooking. Of playing with Bill ( now don't yell at me!), of his many jokes and yes, as mentioned, the pinultimate round! And so now ... Fayette St.is definitely closed! My sympathies to you all.

When I moved to CNY in 1992, Bill was the first friend I met. He worked with me for unemployment benefits and mentioned that he ran the Bridge Studio. I learned from him and assisted for a couple years. My deepest condolences go to the entire Barrington family and the CNY Bridge community for losing such a wonderful man. Every time I hear the word 'penultimate', I'll think of Bill.

George and I worked with Bill for many years at NYS Department of Labor. He was a fun guy and entertained us with stories of his cruises where he ran the bridge games for the passengers. He will be missed.

Mary Anne, my most sincerest condolences on the passing of Bill. He was a great friend and mentor to me for almost 15 years while I lived in Syracuse. No one person, outside of our mutual friend and bridge player, Bruce, has influence me as much as Bill. He was truly a great person with the best sense of humor that I have ever seen. For Bill: Long Live Hurricane Gussie!
