Obituary of Gerald Francis Iwanski

Gerald F. Iwanski, 74, passed away peacefully on

March 11, 2022. Born in Syracuse, NY, he 

was the son of Chester and Marie (Stryminski)

Iwanski. He graduated from Henninger High

School and attended OCC. He was employed and

retired from OCWA with over 30 years of service. 

He was a member of the band Golden Gate and

played around NY for several years. He enjoyed 

Christmas Eve and will always be remembered for 

his solo rendition of Mustang Sally.

He is survived by his daughter Kimberly Sokolowski (Mark) of 

Liverpool, his sons Gerald R. Iwanski (Jennifer)

of Middleboro, MA and Alec Iwanski (fiance Amber)

of Liverpool, his sister Carolyn (Alfred) Dubaniewicz, and his 

grandchildren Zachary, Marek, Karastyna, Hailey, Lily,

Logan and Orysya.
