My sincerest condolences to Smiley's wife and family. I knew him long ago from when I lived on Catherine Street. It was strange as I haven't seen him in a very long time and I was literally thinking about him out of the blue a few days before I learned that he passed. I remember him as ALWAYS smiling and laughing, ALWAYS decent to people and just an all around nice guy. I was in my early 20s when I went to some bar with him and another person and he showed me how to do Tequila shots! Ha, funny memory. It so clear from Facebook and the Loop's page that Smiley was a well respected and loved person and will be missed and remembered by a WHOLE LOT of people. He remained kind, smiley and laughing. RIP Smiley.

When I found out Smiley's first name I asked him if he was that little pain in the ass Richy who road around on a skateboard when we were kids. Lol. After we became brothers, but he'd say it's always good to see family. Ride free and forever. Love ya, Thumper.
