Obituary of Katherine Marie Almonte

Katherine Almonte, 65, passed away on April 12, 2022. Born in Syracuse, New York, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Rosemarie Ranger. Kathie was employed at the Museum of Science and Technology as their Art Director. She poured her heart and soul into her work and valued her friendships with coworkers.

Kathie was loved by every person who knew her. She was the most genuine, kind and caring person. She loved spending time with her family and friends, she especially loved to spoil her girls and granddaughters. Spending her summers in the sun on the lake was one of her favorite things. She loved dining at the best restaurants and we all know she loved a good cocktail. She enjoyed traveling and was looking forward to an upcoming trip to Hawaii planned with her daughters and their husbands this upcoming September. Kathie will be desperately missed by everyone she has left behind. Our hearts are broken. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was a true blessing. 

Kathie is survived by her two daughters, Jacquelyn (Joshua) Anderson and Danielle (Timothy) LeFever, granddaughters, Racheal Banas and Charlotte Anderson, aunt, who she adored, Dorothy Carranti, siblings, Walter (Laura) Ranger, Janie (Brad) Stratton, John Ranger and Barbara (Gregory) Dunlap, several nieces and nephews, and partner, Lonnie Edinger.

There will be a celebration of life held for Kathie this summer, date is to be determined.
