I worked part time as a clerk at Diana Jewelry Store while I was attending CCBI. I fell in love with the James Family. On my breaks, I’d go down into the cellar of the store and watch John’s father clean and repair watches and clocks. John taught me to hand string and knot pearl necklaces. He taught me how to engrave items. Most of all, he was a shepherd, mentor, and friend who gave me confidence in myself. John was a good man who loved what he did and did it with enthusiasm. I was greatly fond of John and his family. The world was a better place with John James in it!

Christina, Elizabeth and John - I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing on Christmas morning. I will miss him dearly whenever I visit the 3rd floor, especially his smile. He was a very sweet man. May he rest in peace with the Lord.

John, Elizabeth and Chris I will always remember the first time that I met your dad in the jewelry store when looking for a gold neck chain and him stating "I have several" and he began showing me the selection. I focused on one in particular and he stated "that is a great choice, however it is really expensive." I was determined to purchase a chain that day and he fulfilled my wishes and I continue to wear the chain all these years later. I will cherish the memories of the subsequent times that I was able to see him at the store or when attending events hosted by your family. Rest in Peace John, until we meet again.
