Dear Mrs. Holava, I’m so sorry to learn of the passing of your husband. I remember him when his teenage son Dickie (Richard Jr.) was a very young but professional magician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians! As the “play-lady” for the 5C Pediatric Hematology Oncology clinic, I was happy when Dickie provided magic shows for the patients and their families. His Dad Richard, and Nancy, were such supportive advocates for Dickie. Young Dickie died back in the fall of 1978. It was profoundly devastating for all who loved him, esp. his Dad.
