Obituary of David Elliott Monk Sr

David Elliott Monk Sr. a beloved father,brother,son and fellow soldier to all his military family passed away on 10/20/23 at the VA medical center in Syracuse, NY. He was born in Dearborn Heights, Michigan and was the son of Maria Monk and Elliott Werczler. He enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 17 and received army achievement medal, overseas service ribbon, sharpshooter marksmanship badge, and later received an honorable discharge. He was a very smart soldier that always paid attention to detail. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy,NY. He is survived by his sons Christopher Monk, David Monk jr., and Keefer Monk. He is also survived by his sisters Deborah Piotrowski, Dara monk, and his brother Daniel Monk, also his mother Maria Monk and stepfather Larry Monk. He was an entrepreneur and businessman that designed and created various successful businesses. He was an avid fishermen and car junky that always loved bringing his mustang to the drag strip. He will always be remembered for his extreme generosity and the willingness and drive he had to help his fellow man. He was there for his family and countless others till the end and he will be forever missed. Love you pops.
