Obituary of Emily Kathleen Bartoszewski

Emily Kathleen Bartoszewski born in Syracuse, NY, on Dec. 15^th, 2001, left this world far too early on Nov. 3^rd, 2023. 

The first-born child of James and Danielle (Claver), has died at the tender age of 21 from pneumonia during her fight with Leukemia.

Since birth, she was spirited, loyal and a loving protector of those closest to her. Emily loved her family fiercely. As a young child she loved playing princess dress up and was nicknamed Hannah Montana as she loved to sing and dance around. She loved spending time with her great grandmothers in the orchard with her cousins at Van Gorden’s and taking naps with Babcia Bart. She adored her bothers, spending as much time as she could with family, always generous with her time, hugs and smiles. Since she was a child, she talked about wanting to have babies and family of her own.     

Our girl loved to travel. From a weekend in NYC with girlfriends, to her favorite Florida beach vacations with family, and everywhere in between; she was excited for each voyage.  She loved trips to the lake, weekends getting muddy on a quad, evenings at the dirt track, or just heading out for a drive with those she loved. Emily was always upbeat and looking to enjoy life to the fullest. She had an adventurous spirit, was outgoing, often stubborn but wore her heart on her sleeve and above all was loving.

Emily loved all things fall. From the hoodies and boots worn to pumpkin and apple picking, the fall colors, spooky hay rides, haunted houses and bonfires with friends and family.

Em was a graduate of Hannibal High School, class of 2020. She attended the Nursing Program at OCC, having passed her state exams this summer to become a CNA and had plans to continue to get her RN while working.

Emily met life with open arms and her whole heart. Preceeding her in death are her grandparents Stanley Bartoszewski and Butch and Sharon Claver. Surviving her are her father James (Mary), mother Danielle (Todd Calkins) Claver, brothers Trenton and Jacob, step brother Brennen Tripp, step sister Madison Tripp, niece Ryliegh Tripp, grandmother Kathleen Troast as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts, great uncles and extended family.
