November 15, 2007 John G. Strozik, 93 of Lakeland, passed away Thursday November 15th, 2007. John was born in Syracuse on June 24, 1914. John was formerly employed Westvale Tool & Die and Superior Design. He is a member of The Basilica of The Sacred Heart of Jesus, Sacred Heart Seniors, Lakeland Seniors, Polish Heritage Club and was a 4th Degree Color Corp member of Sacred Heart Assembly 1725. John was an Army Air Force Veteran of WWII and served with the 473rd Bomb Squadron 334th Bomb Group, he was Past Commander of PLAV Post 14. John enjoyed gardening, traveling, old steam trains and old cars. John is survived by his wife of 40 years, Irene Strozik, son; John A. Strozik, daughter; Barbara Antonelli, Stepdaughter; Margaret (James) Heitz of OH, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. His first wife Alice Trojnar Strozik predeceases John. Calling Hours: Sunday 2 to 5pm Hollis Funeral Home. Funeral Services: Monday 9:30 AM at Hollis Funeral Home and 10:30 AM in The Basilica of The Sacred Heart of Jesus. Burial with Honors: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lakeland. In lieu of Flowers Donations can be made to the Polish Home Handicapped Accessibility Fund 915 Park Avenue Syracuse, NY 13204
