Obituary of Anne Allen

Anne Corcoran Allen passed away on the 23^rd of April 2024. She was wife of David Allen of Syracuse, Ny and the were married for 44 years,

Anne Magdalen Corcoran was born in Letterfrack, Connemara, Co. Galway, Ireland on the 5^th of July 1940 the daughter of Anthony and Ellen Corcoran nee O’Mally She worked in Clifden after secondary school at st Joseph’s in Letterfrack as a nanny until she was 23. In 163 she came it the United States and enrolled in the nursing programme at St Joseph’s hospital. She worked there until 1974 and started to work in the elderly care business under Louise Muserlian. She worked through the 90s where she then started working in the school district programme working in the dietary division for pupils until her retirement in 2010.

Anne enjoyed working hard and being a member of the church community helping out with the monasteries and convents. She was member of Holy Trinity Church and later moved to the parish of the Blessed Sacrament.

She is survived by her husband David Allen, her son Giuseppe Rotella, her nephew Jason Corcoran of Wimbledon, UK and her niece Romaine Neman and nephew William Kennedy of Co. Offaly Ireland. 

As per her wishes she was cremated and will have services and remains set on the banks of Connemara in Letter frack with her family and the place she was born and raised
