Obituary of Alice Sojda

Alice Sojda passed away April 24, 2024 at 95 years of age. She was a lifelong resident of Syracuse, NY. Alice was a communicant of The  Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and a member of its Rosary Society, Mother’s Club, Sacred Heart Choir and was a member of Syracuse Polish Community Home. In addition, Alice was President of the Blodgett PTA. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed gardening where she won an award for best flowers. She loved decorating for the holidays, bus trips to the casino, scratch offs and having her coffee and breakfast at Denny’s, Stella’s and Nestico’s. She loved helping people and spent many years volunteering for Bingo at Sacred Heart and The Polish Home.  She always looked forward to dog sitting with Pebbles. 

She was predeceased by her husband Chester Sojda. She is survived by her son David (Patty). Her God children, cousins and nieces.

Funeral Services: Monday 9:30 AM in The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus 927 Park Avenue Syracuse.

Burial: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Geddes.
