Lorraine and I met when I was hired to assume her position as she prepared to retire in late 1992. Replacing such a lively and amazing woman was clearly not possible as I came to learn over the short weeks we worked together. The stories Lorraine shared were priceless as she told them with great passion and infectious laughter. Lorraine lit up every room she walked into with her beautiful smile, the firey red hair that reflected her personality, and her amazing taste in fashion lead to an uncanny sense of presence that could not possibly be ignored.
My time spent with Lorraine will stay with me always and of all that she taught me, the most important of all was to be sure to know and appreciate my co-workers. Of course she also told me not to take any guff from anyone either :-)
May LB rest in peace amongst the angels while teaching them all her personal sense of style. Sending thoughts and prayers to the Bradley family in your time of sorrow.
