Susan J (Pikarsky) Jennis, 73, passed away on September 29, 2024 at home with family. She was the wife of Michael (Mick) H. Jennis. They shared 49 years of a beautiful and loving marriage. Susan was born in Syracuse. She was the daughter of the late Jean & Marion Pikarsky.

She was employed with the City of Syracuse as a Purchasing Contract Clerk before she stepped away to raise her 2 children. In 2001, she returned to the job she loved and retired in 2017 to spend more time with her grandchild.

She enjoyed games and puzzles, cooking and home renovation shows. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion and unwavering, but lovable, stubbornness.

She is survived by her beloved husband Michael (Mick) Jennis; her wonderful children, Michael S. Jennis, Stacy M. Jennis, the most adorable grandchild Reese Tryon and brothers and sister; Nancy (Raymond), Thomas, Michael (Susan) Pikarsky, Robert (Susan) Pikarsky and many nieces and nephews.

 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3rd from 4pm – 7pm at Hollis Funeral Home, 1105 W. Genesee Street Syracuse

 

The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 4th at 10am in St. Daniel’s Church with interment at Assumption Cemetery.
