I will never forget the time DJ and I were discussing our holiday plans...and Dick said he would be traveling back to the "dirt water town" of his birth. Learning it was less than 2 hours away from our Syracuse neighborhood, I asked him the name of his town and learned it was my hometown, too! We had a great laugh over that one. DJ was incredibly kind to my son Rutger and my daughter Kicia enjoyed babysitting his wonderful children. I will miss his kind soul and incredible sense of humor and most of all seeing one of my favorite couples together..."Dick and Jane." Best wishes to Jane and his family. He will be greatly missed.

I worked with Dick at BOCES. I knew him as a kind man who showed compassion for the students he worked with and did everything he could to help them succeed. He was a pleasure to work with and was always making his co workers laugh. I am so sorry for your loss.
