Bob & Claudia's son Brian was our son's Rahul classmate through high school. We got to know Bob and Claudia through Rahul and Brian. I cannot say I knew Bob well, but Rahul always spoke highly and very very fondly of Bob. It is a sad sad loss, and we feel Brian and Claudia's pain at suffering such a bereavement and so suddenly too. Sixty one is no age to go. Our thoughts are with the family at this painful time.

We are sorry for your loss. Bob was a great man. I was grateful for the time I got to spend with him at camp and at tennis lessons with Sarah. He was a great instructor who gave me pointers in my game that I had not gotten from anyone else before. Moreover, not only did he teach everyone well, his approach made it fun for all. I will never forget his lessons and his practical approach to it. I will also miss him, but I will carry his teachings on to whoever could use them.
As always, if we may help with anything, please let us know.

Bob was such a "Special" person to me,Friend, Mentor, Teacher, Supporter. He held not only a wealth of knowledge about so many things but was always quick to share that knowledge that came with patience, understanding and a smile.
Bob believed in me and what I was capable of, even when I did not and urged me to walk an oft times difficult road to it's end and see the results of what I'd accomplished. The times I will remember most are those at my dining room table listening to his wisdom as he was munching on a piece of grape pie I'd made for him or the Christmas tree that he brought when I had none. I will remember his quick and radiant smile that could light up the darkest room, the eternal love and devotion to Claudia, Brian and Sanela and his dogs and his faith in God.
His passing will leave a hole in the entire landscape of the Syracuse area for so many as there is not another able to fill the void he leaves. I guess that fishing expedition we were going to have will have to wait until the time we're together again in heaven.
My heart goes out to Claudia, Brian & Sanela. May God grant you peace and ease your pain- Remember all that he was and the good times you had together. Thank you for sharing him with the rest of us for he was such a Special Gift that will always be cherished.
With Love - Sherry & Dan Crook

I had the utmost respect & privilege of working with Bob at SEIU for many, many years. He was the kindness, sweetest, most generous man I was fortunate enough to call my friend; he was the epitomy of a true gentleman. Bob, you're now with your heavenly father and heaven just received another angel. I miss you, I love you. Rest in peace my friend.

The good, they say, die young and there was no better a man in my eyes than Bob. I send my sincerest sympathy to his wife, children, family and friends for we have all lost so much. Bob took interest and showed caring to everyone he dealt with. He would go out of his comfort zone to help someone. He is one of the few men I respected and trusted. Goodbye friend. I'm sure there is a special place just for you in Heaven.

I first met Bob when hw was with CNYCOSH, and then had the pleasure of working closely with him as a PEF Field Rep when I was Council Leader of Division 256. Bob was a tireless and avid advocate for my members. Together, we attended many disciplinary hearings, arguing much like defense attorneys in support of the union members. Even the management people on the other side of the table liked and respected Bob for his zealous attitude and professionalism. Bob was a caring man, passionate about helping people, highly skilled and knowledgeable at his job, and a great friend. He will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathies to his family on their loss.
