We were stunned to hear of Rose's passing, as we tried to get in touch with Pegs roommate at St. Camillus now that she is back in Syracuse. She was a cheerful, sweet woman who embraced all of us with her warm smile and sense of humor each and every visit. Our deepest sympathy to all of you in your loss. In the short time we knew her, she was quite the firecracker.

Rose was a wonderful, thoughtful, lively, funny and constant friend to my mom. Even after Mom passed away, Rose continued to visit with my dad on a weekly basis. She was the last friend he ever spoke with before he died. Rose was the one who told me the end for him was imminent and to prepare myself. I will always remember Rose as a comfort to my folks as they grew old. And she was an inspiration to me in dealing with Jim's untimely death. God Bless you, Rose, and as my mom would say, may angels guide thee to thy rest. For all the Block "kids" who I grew up with, my heartfelt sympathies. it stinks to lose such a wonderful mom, but we all know that to everything, there is a season.
