Obituary of Constance S. Rojek

January 11, 2009 Constance "Connie" Rojek, 81, of Syracuse passed away suddenly Sunday at her home. She was born on the west side of Syracuse and graduated from Sacred Heart Grammar School and Central High School. Connie worked for several years at Mead Containers. In 1959, she married Frank Rojek and they celebrated 30 years together until his death in 1989. She was a lifetime parishioner of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and a former member of the Sacred Heart Seniors. Connie leaves two children to cherish her memory. Her daughter, Carol (William Todeschini) Rojek of Solvay and her son, Joseph (Laura) Rojek of Lackawanna. She is also survived by her three greatest joys - her grandchildren: David & Katarina Rojek and Francesca Todeschini. Her sister, Virginia Bartosiewicz, of Solvay. Sisters-in- law: Dorothy Rojek and Shirley Joyce; several nieces and nephews and her dear friend, Irene Wrobel. She was predeceased on October 31st by her brother-in-law, Edward Bartosiewicz. Funeral Services: Saturday 8:30 AM Hollis Funeral Home and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Syracuse. Connie was a true supporter of Catholic education.
