I was so shocked & sad to read of Marie’s death in SUNY Cortland Alumni’s “COLUMNS.’ I believe Marie shared a room with Lea Calligeros, who, like Marie, graduated from Cortland in 1977. Lea and I knew each other when we were teammates on the volleyball team at Kings Park High School. I just sent Lea a Facebook Messenger note regarding Marie. I remember Marie as someone who not only always had a smile on her face but a tremendous sense of humor that could light up a room. Anyone who truly knew Marie loved her!
