Obituary of Charles W. Morse Jr.
Charles W. Morse Jr. 83 of Liverpool passed away Tuesday October 3, 2017. Charlie was born June 19, 1934 in Warsaw NY to Charles and Marguerite Morse. He moved to Syracuse to attend Syracuse University. After graduating he worked 35 years at Crouse Hinds as an Engineer and later at Home Depot until full retirement in 2014.
Charlie’s passion was his family, being surrounded by friends, helping others, the Syracuse Orange, and the Yankees. As a member of Toastmasters and the Republican Club, he was always the center of attention with his larger than life character and anecdotes. As District Governor of the Lions Club, he and his wife Edith enjoyed traveling and being the life of the party. His family knew him as loving, caring, generous, strong and wise. He would use his electrical, mechanical and plumbing skills to help anyone in need of a repair.
He is predeceased by his wife of 60 years Edith. Survived by his daughter Deborah (Gary) Thomson, and son Billy (Marni) Morse, five brothers, 3 sisters, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He will be terribly missed.
A memorial mass will be held 9:00AM at Pope John Paul XXIII Roman Catholic Church on 8290 Soule Rd, Liverpool on October 14, 2017. A celebration of life will be held after the service in the church directory.
