Obituary of Alexander Vincent Husak
Al Husak, 83 , born in Syracuse on November 28, 1937 to Alexander C. and Regina”Jean”(Przeworski) Husak, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Friday, December 4th . Al was a lifelong communicant of Sacred Heart Basilica and graduated Sacred Heart School. He was formerly employed as a Unit Director at the Hamilton Street Boys and Girls Club and was a Director at the Westside Inner City Association. Al was very active in the Westside Community as a member and Manager of the Syracuse Polish Community Home, former County Legislator, President of Empire Street Republican Club and Chairmen of the Board of West Side Republican Club. Al was proud of his Polish Heritage and proud of his service to his country as a Corporal in the United State Marine Corp serving from 1959- 1963 in the Panama Canal Zone and during the Cuban Blockade.
