Sylvia was the daughter of one of the greatest cooks that ever lived and the mother of my best friend for the last 48 years. She always opened her home to anyone that came calling, which made the Reynold's house a popular place to gather with friends and family. Because of Sylvia, I was able to spend countless Christmas eves, Christmas mornings, and Christmas dinners with the Reynolds. As a Jew and prior to those times, I had never celebrated Christmas. I have Sylvia to thank for those wonderful memories and experiences. She had a bright and beautiful smile, and in the nearly 50 years I knew her, I never heard her say a cross word about anyone. I hope these memories that people are sharing with the Reynolds will live on as a blessing to their family for years to come. And Vince, what you provided for your mother the last few years of her life is something any son or daughter should be proud of. She was so lucky to have you, Nanci and the rest of your family with her and caring for her for these last several years.
