Obituary of Wallace J Tomas

Wallace J. Tomas, 77 yrs old passed away on 10/27/2023 at Loretto .Born in Syracuse,NY he was the son of Wallace and Genevieve (Hetnar) Tomas. Wally attended SUNY Oswego for his BA. in Education, Syracuse University for his M.Ed. in English education and M.Ed. in Industrial design and development. For most of his career, he taught High School English, British and American literature in Florida.For two years he worked for NASA at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX Manned Space Training Division.He designed and implemented shuttle systems familiarization for all Space Center primary and sub contractors. He was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, a third degree Knight of Columbus.Travelling was his favorite thing to do, especially to Europe and Asia. He will be remembered for his quick wit and entertaining teaching style. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Wally is survived by his brother Martin and Mary Ann (Werner) ,two nieces Mary and Alicia Alleyne (Brian) and his great niece, cousin Ed and Dotti Hetnar and many cousins.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Mass will be at noon on Saturday 11/4/23 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Baldwinsville. A luncheon will follow the Mass.

There will be a private burial
