I knew Charlie for over 40 years. Our careers and personal lives intersected numerous times and for that I am forever grateful. Charlie was always a delight to be around, always laughing, always smiling. He treated everyone with the upmost respect. His contribution to the built environment is well known, one that he was proud of. It is with great sadness that I have to say goodbye to such a dear friend. Charlie - You will be misssed by so many !! Keep shining your bright light upon us !!

Dear Robin and family,
Just today I learned about the passing of Charlie.
We did not keep in touch much since graduating Holland Patent. Reading his obituary I can sense that Charlie maintained the great sense of humor I recall, and was a caring and giving soul.
I remember cheering for Charlie out on the basketball court. Those games were sure fun for us kids!
Know that I will remember Charlie in my daily prayers. I am praying for comfort for you, your children and grandchildren.
God Bless,
Christine

Charlie,
I'm addressing this to you as I hope (believe) you can somehow know what I'm writing and feeling about you.
During the past five years at Auburn Unitarian Universalist Society, you have been a constant spark and, on occasion, a real firecracker with your humor, candid expressions of your thoughts, and deeply caring nature. You demonstrated love, care, and dedication to your family and to our small congregation. I am deeply grateful for witnessing and experiencing those gifts. Your wide circle of friends is testament to the magnetism and presence you shared.
But what I think of most (besides your laugh and ready smile, of course) is your constant drive to learn. You were always reading something, thinking about something, ready to have a discussion about something. I remember the first sermon/message I saw you deliver on the "free and responsible search for truth and meaning". Your message stressed BOTH of those aspects--there is no laziness in this freedom of belief--it is grounded in a responsible search. You exhibited that every time I saw you or heard you talk in church.
Thank you for your heart, your warmth, and your laughter. But most of all, thank you for your thoughts and for sharing the fruits of your learning. I will truly miss not hearing more of those things from you.

My condolences to the Kincaid family for the loss of Charlie. He was a great man who was proud of his profession and did much to improve life for those in the community through his actions. I knew Charlie for over 30 years and worked for him at JMT for 5 years. He never made me feel like a subordinate but like a coworker. Charlie was a very good friend and, I'm sure, is missed by all who knew him.
