Obituary of Charles Kincaid

Charles H. Kincaid, PE, age 70, passed away on June 24th at Crouse Hospital, surrounded by family.  

 

Born in Utica, NY, he was the son of Frederick and Alice Kincaid.  He was the beloved brother of Alice Putnam, Frederick Kincaid, Margaret Clemons (deceased) and Martha Kincaid, MD(deceased).  After graduating high school at Holland Patent Central in 1972 he joined the Army and was an MP in South Korea.  He later graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and worked as a civil engineer in Nevada, New Jersey, and New York.  He was most recently employed at JMT as Vice President of the Syracuse office. 

 

He has resided in Auburn for the past 35 years, where he was an active member of his community, a perpetual volunteer, and great friend to all who knew him.  He belonged to the Auburn Unitarian Universalist Society.  He enjoyed golf, pickleball, and spending time with his many friends, children and grandchildren.  He will be remembered for his sense of humor, impact on his community, and boundless energy.

 

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Robin, children Brianna, Zachary, and Stefan, and grandchildren Kaius, Emmett, Evaleigh, Arden, and Lochlan. 

 

A memorial service will be held at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Syracuse 109 Waring Road Syracuse NY 13224 on Friday, October 4th at 2pm.
