Dear Chester's family, I will always remember Chester coming and talking about the lottery and his time in the service. Chester was a great man and he will truly be missed at wegmansI. We were worried about him when he hadn't come in in awhile. Hope he is at peace. I know he missed his wife enormously. Robert & Eileen, Stephen & Brianna, I will miss your Dad, Grandfather very much. Having him in my life a lot in recent years was wonderful. The birds at Wegmans in Western Lights have missed him the last few months, but they could get another "St. Francis" to feed them. We will never have another Chester Halczyn in our lives. Chesters family- I wish you peace in your loss. Chester was at my store faithfully everyday to visit and buy lottery tickets. The only time he wasn't was when he went to visit in Fl. for a few days at Christmas. I enjoyed speaking with him about his years in the service and about his birds. I frequently gave him rides after he gave up his car but he still walked to the store everyday. When I hadn't seen him for a few weeks I called and they said he was in the hospital and a few weeks ago I called and they said he was in Fl. I remember when he 1st started coming in with Anna and Mary. Chester had several people who he visited with at the store who will miss him.God Bless You.
